Gündoğan Kevin De Bruyne Raheem Sterling Leroy Sané Sergio Agüero Everything you need to know ahead of the Carabao Cup final at Wembley on Sunday afternoon Manchester City could be without Raheem Sterling as they try to claim the first piece of silverware of the Pep Guardiola era.Fabian Delph will not be available for Sunday’s Carabao Cup final, though Gabriel Jesus could return from a knee injury which has kept him out for more than six weeks.MAN CITY INJURIES Sterling suffered a muscle problem in the Champions League game against Basel which kept him out of Monday’s shock defeat at Wigan, and Guardiola says he does not know if the winger will be ready for Sunday. Danilo has tended to play in games with more defensive demands, while Oleksandar Zinchenko has tended to play at home in matches City are expected to dominate. Guardiola may err on the side of caution and use Danilo. There are other selection considerations for Guardiola, too. John Stones did not look entirely comfortable against Wigan and in fact he has struggled slightly since returning from injury in January. Aymeric Laporte will be trusted to play in City’s biggest matches this season and it would be no surprise if he started on Sunday. Nicolas Otamendi was rested on Monday and is likely to come back into the side.Claudio Bravo has played all of City’s Carabao Cup matches and he will start on Sunday, with Ederson on the bench.ARSENAL TEAM NEWS Arsene Wenger says Arsenal have no injuries for Sunday’s game. There had been concerns over Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil but Wenger believes both will be fit.”I don’t know what kind of state [Alex] Iwobi is in, we will know that today [Friday] – but overall we have no injuries.”I’ll make a decision on Aaron Ramsey on Saturday, he looks to be available but he’ll have another test today. So we will know more about it tomorrow [Saturday].”On Ozil, the Frenchman added: “He had a good session yesterday [Thursday] which he absorbed well. We’ll have to see how he responds to it, but I think he will be alright.”OPTA MATCH FACTS Arsenal have won just two of their last 11 Premier League meetings with Manchester City, drawing five and losing four. We want to do the best we can.”
Neymar ‘I played the ball’ – Sarr insists he is not responsible for Neymar injury Jamie Smith 07:56 26/2/2018 FacebookTwitterRedditcopy Comments(2) AFP Neymar PSG PSG v Olympique Marseille Olympique Marseille Ligue 1 PSG v Real Madrid Real Madrid UEFA Champions League The Brazilian was left in tears after tangling with the Marseille man in Le Classique, but Sarr is convinced he is not to blame for the injury Neymar’s suspected ankle injury was sustained entirely accidentally, says Marseille’s Bouna Sarr, who challenged the Brazilian before he left the field on a stretcher.Paris Saint-Germain led Le Classique 3-0 in on Sunday, with Neymar having set up Edinson Cavani after 55 minutes to wrap up the victory after Kylian Mbappe’s opener and a Rolando own goal. But with PSG coach Unai Emery having already used all three substitutes, Neymar was hurt in a collision with Sarr in the closing stages at the Parc des Princes. Arsenal Wenger racks up 700th Arsenal win Jack Davies 00:17 12/3/2018 FacebookTwitterRedditcopy Comments(0) Getty Images Arsenal Arsène Wenger Watford Premier League Arsenal v Watford Almost 22 years on from his first, the Frenchman made it 700 wins as Gunners boss in the Premier League clash with Watford on Sunday Arsene Wenger chalked up his 700th win in charge of Arsenal as the Gunners beat Watford 3-0 at Emirates Stadium on Sunday. The under-fire manager’s first victory came against Blackburn Rovers way back in 1996, when Ian Wright scored twice in a 2-0 win at Ewood Park. And goals from Shkodran Mustafi, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan saw Wenger to number 700, while Troy Deeney – who accused Arsenal of lacking “cojones” earlier in the season – had a penalty saved by Petr Cech. Walker to the rescue but City sweating on Ederson injury ahead of Liverpool clash Out of his depth! Emery on borrowed time after another abysmal Arsenal display Diving, tactical fouls & the emerging war of words between Guardiola & Klopp The match also saw Arsenal score their 1000th Premier League home goal, Mesut Ozil become the fastest player to reach 50 assists and Cech keep his 200th clean sheet in the competition.During his time in charge of the Gunners, Wenger has racked up seven FA Cup titles and three Premier League crowns. The Frenchman’s long reign at the helm has been called into question in recent seasons, with the Gunners failing to qualify for the Champions League last season for the first time in 20 years. And that streak could continue this term, with Arsenal well outside of the top four as the calendar reaches March. Wenger’s best chance at a Champions League return looks likely to be through the Europa League, which Arsenal must win to return to Europe’s top club competition next season.

That’s the comp Mike Gundy made on Monday at his weekly press conference. It makes sense, too. In a vacuum, I’m always taking Dez because he’s bigger and more athletic, but I think Gundy’s right about Tylan, especially when it comes to this season. I’ve said this all year, but Tylan looks bigger, faster and better than he ever has before. In other words, he looks kind of like Dez.“First thing is that he’s not scared,” said Gundy. “You don’t see that a lot in today’s game. Considerably fewer players now are willing to throw their body at somebody else. It’s just a different generation when it comes to that.”Gundy congratulating himself internally for the subtle dig at #footballguys in 2019 vs. #footballguys back in his day when they ate raw meat before the games and played with cotton balls for shoulder pads.“He’s extremely physical, he’s not scared and he’s explosive. He’s going to have a really good vertical jump, and he’s an explosive type of athlete. Those guys come up on him and he can stiff-arm them, and he’s got great balance.”Yes … yes, I think this is true.“The play that he made Saturday was like Dez Bryant. It looked like something Dez would do back in the day. It’s about as good of a play as I’ve seen in a long time.”Here’s how one of our readers put it.If Jerry Jeudy for Alabama had that one highlight and nothing else, they would give him the Biletnikoff after the game. Wallace is far and away the best WR in the college game. He trucked one of the best LBers in the conference so hard he didn’t reenter the game. And the kid he stiff-armed is seeing a counselor twice a week to address the PTSD caused by said stiff arm. The last defender who whiffed did so on purpose after seeing his teammate get thrown to the ground like rag doll. That play was poetry in motion, and the poem was about a monster truck running over everything in its path. [PFB]That’ll sum it up.Every time Dez is brought up I am contractually obligated to post this video to remind you that he was the original Superman, even if Tylan wears the shirt. But yeah, it looks a lot like … this.Their pedigrees are eerily similar, too. Wallace was the 20th-ranked player in Texas coming out of high school. Dez was seventh. They were both four-star guys coming to Stillwater — Dez is the fourth-highest ranked recruit in OSU history, Wallace is 10th. Very different than the two-star studs in No. 28 and No. 81.The timelines are a little different here because Tylan played only a handful of games his freshman year while Dez played them all, but you can overlay their career stats and not tell much difference.Dez (27 games): 147 catches | 2425 yards | 29 TDTylan (26 games): 146 catches | 2512 yards | 20 TDSo yeah, maybe Tylan really is the Dez of this era. Their skills are probably more similar than if you tossed James Washington into the equation. It was a good Gundy reminder on Monday that we should both appreciate what Wallace is doing on this team and remember just how good the original Superman was back in his day. No. 2 and No. 1. No. 1 and No. 2. Whatever order you put them isn’t wrong, and both slot nicely in OSU’s lengthy lineage of elite college wideouts.
